Anime Zero — Anime Zero Infinite Mode Guide — Waves, Bosses & Leaderboard gameplay

Infinite is Anime Zero’s endless survival mode: waves keep coming, enemies scale up as you go, and your run ends when your team wipes. It’s the mode for leaderboard climbers and material farmers alike.

How waves and bosses work

  • You pick a difficulty for Infinite just like Story (see the difficulty guide).
  • A boss arrives every 10 waves on Easy, 8 on Medium, 6 on Hard, 5 on Nightmare — so Nightmare throws nearly twice as many bosses at you per hour as Easy.
  • Infinite bosses drop materials (added in the October 2 patch) — before that patch they didn’t, which is why farming guides now point Infinite for specific materials.
  • Waves scale “better the further you go” (October 1 patch), and enemies get tougher with more players in the party.

Why run Infinite

  1. Materials — boss drops plus per-wave drops make it the fast lane for crafting stock, especially materials whose Story act you’ve outleveled.
  2. The leaderboard — a dedicated most-waves-survived leaderboard was added October 1.
  3. XP rate — wave clears with multi-kill combos pay out fast; with level milestones reportedly going up to 500 (pre-release footage), Infinite is where endgame grinding happens.

Survival tips

  • Only 2 enemies can attack you at once (October 1 patch) — position so the pack funnels rather than surrounds.
  • Rubble can’t be one-shot (max 30% damage per hit) — don’t waste ults on walls.
  • Bring a health synergy (Luffy + Shanks, +15% max health) for the later waves; raw damage pairs fall off when the scaling outpaces your DPS.
  • Bosses don’t flinch from hits — respect their attack patterns instead of face-tanking.
